Job Description

VDOT is looking for an experienced Java developer with 8 - 10+ years of experience in IT. The candidate needs to have hands-on experience developing applications in Java, J2EE, Open Source Framework, and PL/SQL. The candidate should have excellent coding and design skills.

Responsibilities

1. BS in Computer Science or Information Systems is required.
2. 4-6+ years of hands-on, web-based software development experience.
3. 4+ years of professional experience with Java.
4. Experience with relational database design and development with Oracle.
5. Experience in software design, development, and testing of web-based software applications.
6. Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
7. Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

Required / Desired Skills:

1. Must have Banking or Brokerage experience in the last 3 years.
2. 10+ years of solid Java development experience.
3. Must have strong experience with J2EE, EJB, and multi-threading.
4. Experience with C#, Maven, SVN, and TeamCity (A must).
5. Experience with Oracle BPM, WebLogic servers, and Enterprise Architect.
6. Experience with Web services.
