Applied Materials:Software Engineer Intern

Position Responsibilities:

The position will entail the following:

1. Designs and develops code for control system software projects
2. Designs and creates prototype software to interface with new devices, actuators, and sensors
3. Assists in troubleshooting a variety of moderately difficult software problems
4. Creates and executes test plans on simulators, test benches, or the lab
5. Develops software documentation
6. Interacts and works closely with the team

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

1. Student must be pursuing a Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
2. Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.2 or above on a 4.0 scale
3. Good written and oral communication skills
4. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
5. Is result-oriented and has a passion to contribute ideas, to influence others, and to succeed
6. Proficiency and experience in C and C++ are required
