Senior Software Engineer, Simulation - Autonomous Vehicles Next-Gen

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our Planning and Control team to work on Simulation. In this role, you will develop simulation and replay tools that enable rapid algorithm development, verification, and evaluation.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Develop simulation features to enable rapid debugging, testing, and evaluation of the Planning and Control software.
2. Develop tools that allow us to replay the prediction, decision-making, planning, and control algorithms on recorded data.
3. Design simulated agents that interact with the system in realistic ways.
4. Most importantly, develop groundbreaking, meaningful technology, solve difficult problems, and help build a world-class autonomous system!

What We Need To See

1. BS, MS, or PhD or equivalent experience in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science or similar fields.
2. 5+ years of relevant work experience.
3. Experience in software development with C++ in a large codebase.
4. Prior knowledge about vehicle simulation, path planning, vehicle control, Drive-by-Wire systems, autonomous vehicles, or robotics simulation.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a large team and drive consensus.
6. Familiarity programming with professional software development workflows using git in Linux (Ubuntu) or another Unix based system.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

1. Experience working in a large monorepo and with Bazel.
2. Prior working experience on simulated agents.
3. Experience with structured data logging and log data analysis.

The base salary range is 144,000 USD - 270,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
