Overview
We are seeking our first full-time Engineering Manager. This role offers the opportunity to shape and grow our engineering team, drive technical innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of our products. As an Engineering Leader, you will be a pivotal figure in our organization, leading the charge in creating and maintaining robust, scalable systems that align with our mission. Location: West Los Angeles, with some remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions for 's innovative health products.
- Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Work closely with the current overseas dev team to ensure product release timelines are met.
- Develop and implement engineering best practices, ensuring code quality, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.
- Oversee the architecture and infrastructure of our technology stack, ensuring it meets current and future needs.
- Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating them into our solutions where appropriate.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and bottlenecks in the development process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of proven experience in leading and scaling engineering teams.
- 3-5 years of experience as a hands-on software engineer
- Strong expertise in software development, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern infrastructure tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Background in health tech, medical devices, or a related industry is a plus.
- Experience in a startup environment is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $200-300k, commensurate with experience
