Chief Engineer

One Turnberry Place, a leading high rise condominium association, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the engineering operations of our prestigious property. As the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance, repair, and improvement of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within the building. You will work alongside a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the property.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
2. Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure the proper functioning of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
3. Conduct regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues.
4. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for repairs, upgrades, and equipment installations.
5. Create and maintain documentation of equipment, systems, and maintenance activities.
6. Monitor and control the budget for engineering operations, ensuring cost-effective practices.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in engineering technology.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety codes, regulations, and standards.
9. Respond to emergency situations and provide timely resolutions to minimize disruptions.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the high rise real estate, or property management industry.
2. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
3. Proven experience in managing and leading a team of engineers and technicians.
4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
5. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.
8. Knowledge of relevant safety codes, regulations, and standards.
9. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
