Job Description:

Our work depends on a DevOps Manager joining our team to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Marketplace Assister Technical Support (MATS) Logical Follow-on (LFO) project.

As a DevOps Manager supporting MATS LFO, you will lead the program’s DevOps strategy, including but not limited to source code control, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), testing, monitoring, and automation of deployments. In this role, a typical day will include:

  1. Overseeing the DevOps release process for Salesforce and AWS instances and assisting our developers throughout their release process.
  2. Developing, maintaining, and advancing our CI/CD pipeline using Copado and related tools.
  3. Maintaining GIT repositories and deployment of all software releases.
  4. Creating CI/CD processes, standards, and training for other team members to streamline releases.
  5. Ensuring code delivery through the development lifecycle is simple, seamless, and consistent.
  6. Coordinating with Scrum Teams, Dev Leads, and Project Managers to prepare release schedules and coordinate deployments.
  7. Supporting post-deployment activities including knowledge transfer, process documentation, and application bug fixes.
  8. Collaborating with Development Team to ensure safe and secure environments for development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and deployment.
  9. Acting as a single point of contact to plan, coordinate, and oversee our releases, patches, and emergency change requests.
  10. Managing the DevOps team, coaching and providing guidance to less-experienced professionals, managing team tasking, and performance.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Bachelor’s degree or higher and 6+ years of experience supporting DevOps/release management activities with an understanding of CI/CD processes in an enterprise IT software development environment.

Expertise with branching strategies, version control, pipeline automation, and orchestration utilizing Copado and/or related tools, like Git or Jenkins/BitBucket/GitHub/Ant.

Experience with Continuous Development/Deployment/Integration design and best practices.

Excellent knowledge in code deployment version conflict resolution.

Experience with AWS and/or Salesforce custom solutions.

Experience managing a team, inclusive of performance management, merit and compensation, and compliance.

Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.

Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Healthcare Service Industry or CMS experience.

Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.

Experience with infrastructure in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).

Salesforce Certifications: Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer, Salesforce Platform Developer I.

Certified SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner, or other Agile certification.

AWS Certification(s), such as AWS Cloud Practitioner.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
