Job Summary and Responsibilities

Field Engineer - Full time position available!

*$2,500 Sign-on Bonus!

SUMMARY

The Field Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality service and evaluating customer's requests inall customer technical spaces, including, but not limited to data centers, mobile telephone switch centers, central office wire centers, and designated enterprise spaces. The Field Engineer is required to take excellent care of our customers, build relationships, question things and take action, work hard, work smart, and enjoy the experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives and analyzes input document from customer, paying close attention to critical dates and detailed information supplied.
  • Contacts customer to schedule site survey (if feasible) and gathers the necessary form and drawings for the walk through.
  • If feasible, conducts detailed Engineering site survey with the customer, or independently as needed.
  • Furnishes survey information for development of the bid or customer specific response forms.
  • Compile list of all required material types, quantities, cable lengths, etc to complete requested work.
  • Prepares/issues, as needed, detailed job spec, and drawings prior to the installation start date.
  • Creates a presence and maintains a continuing dialog with the customer in order to proactively plan/recommend future projects.
  • Recommends changes to standard material libraries to ensure that the appropriate supplies are being provided.
  • Assist in updating procedures as required to meet customer or equipment requirements.
  • Assists field installation groups in resolving technical issues.
  • Attends customer held meetings, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as requested by Manager
  • Driving is an essential function of this position.

*$1000 payable on the first feasible payroll after 30 days of employment and $1500 payable on the first feasible payroll after 90 days of employment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Technical degree preferred
  • Possess 1 years-experience or equivalent as determined by training program and demonstrated proficiency
  • Demonstrate proficient use of Microsoft programs and applications
  • Demonstrate proficient use of IOS and/or Android applications

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Work shifts longer than eight hours in duration
  • Push or pull heavy objects into position and apply muscular force quickly to objects and equipment

  • Work in a noisy environment

TRAVEL

  • Willing to travel extensively
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to transport minor job-related tools and minor equipment to work locations.
