Job Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
- Mentors other software engineers and coaches the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack.
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle.
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
- Automates manual release activities.
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
- Designs and develops distributed, high volume, high velocity multi-threaded event processing systems using Core Java technology stack in an agile setting.
- Develops solutions to the latest risk, regulatory, and compliance regulations that maintain data integrity, security, and functionality.
- Develops highly efficient software code for multiple use cases leveraging Core Java and Big Data technologies.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong coding knowledge, specifically core Java development, and a track record of working well in diverse team settings as well as leading specific deliverables to completion.
- Excellent understanding of object-oriented design and development principles.
- Experience in developing large scale, fault tolerance systems.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and integrity.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Storm, NoSQL databases or related technologies is desirable.
- Experience with other Big Data frameworks is a plus.
- Experience with DevOps model and tools like Ansible is a plus.
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.

Pay Transparency details:
US - NY - New York - 1100 Ave Of The Americas - Two Bryant Park (NY1540) Pay and benefits information Pay range $100,700.00 - $180,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education, and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible. This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
