MtronPTI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work at its Yankton, South Dakota site.
MtronPTI is a precision frequency and spectrum control product supplier. We design and fabricate microelectronics including quartz crystals, oscillators and other RF devices for harsh and demanding environments. This includes thin film, thick film, and SMD microcircuits.

At MtronPTI you will be working on electronic production that span all phases of the product development lifecycle, from proof-of-concept to production and production support. You will be developing highly reliable microelectronics for the latest military and industrial applications.
This position is for an Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineer or similar engineering major with interests in microelectronic materials and development. Position requires the candidate to work closely with other engineers in the production and product support. Tasks may include design, develop and implement manufacturing systems, processes and tooling required to support plant production activities. The selected candidate must be an enthusiastic self-starter willing to work closely with team members of various disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Develops test, manufacturing and various assembly processes
- Uses engineering tools and statistical concepts to maintain and improve processes
- Investigates process problems and initiates corrective actions
- Generation of production level documentation and procedures
- Specifies and initiates purchase of manufacturing tools, equipment and supplies
- Plans, specifies and justifies capital equipment expenditures
- Lead product and/or process improvement teams
- Assist in other engineering duties as well
- Must have a Bachelors or Advanced Degree in Engineering.
- Attention to detail, prior military preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to work with ITAR data without a license.
