As a Capital One Software Engineer, you will play a key role in driving major transformations within our company. Responsibilities: - Lead a team of experienced developers in creating solutions that meet regulatory requirements, using distributed microservices and full-stack systems. - Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, experiment with new technologies, and actively participate in technology communities. Occasionally, you may be asked to code or evaluate code. - Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to achieve financial well-being. - Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, as well as open-source databases, container orchestration services (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and various AWS tools and services. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree. - Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply). - At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree. - 9+ years of experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js. - 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service. - 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks. - 1+ years of people management experience. - 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
