Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Design a wide array of high-traffic and highly-scalable platforms and applications.
2. Understand business requirements and translate these into technical solutions.
3. Design and create the underlying data structure and data flows to support the application build.
4. Design and build web interfaces on multiple platforms using Ruby on Rails and related databases using best practices.
5. Liaise directly with internal and external business users and provide 2nd/3rd line support on the Rails applications through the life-cycle of the project.
6. This role requires a level of technical experience and interpersonal skills to work effectively with business staff, technical team, and third-party developers.
7. Keep up to date with the latest plans, developments, and changes in the Rails world.
8. Provide ongoing support of existing Rails developments.

Qualifications

Looking For:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred.
2. 4+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails.
3. Sound knowledge of Ruby on Rails.
4. Strong understanding of design patterns.
5. Strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture.
6. Background in an MVC-based implementation of a web platform.
