Location: South Plainfield NJ 07080
Hybrid: 3 days in office and 2 days remote
Pay: $59.92/Hour to $80.90/Hour (W-2)
In-Person 2 rounds interview process
Must be local to drive to South Plainfield NJ and surrounding areas
NEEDS: Civil Engineering, Construction, Substation, Electrical Submission, Utilities/Plants, Construction Cost and Systems, Civil Design Drawings/Documents/Specifications, Oversee Resources, Decision Making and Planning
(No Agencies; No CTC; No Sponsorship)
Minimum 4-plus years of actual experience
Education: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering along with an advanced Technical or Engineering Masters/MBA degree is desirable
IMPORTANT:
**Need to have Project Construction Engineering for Civil Engineering/Staff Construction Team handling construction/civil design of new plant electronic submission/*substations in gathering requirements and process/planning recommendations.
**Other responsibility strongly focused on IT Software Team in implementing capital project production costing into their systems and their Outside Fix Plant Construction system, including record keeping of resources utilizing (SAP ERP, Power BI, Office 365, Excel, CAD/Scada desirable).
**Knowledge of StaadPRO, RISA 3D, HEC–RAS, L– Pile, SAG– 0, or similar Civil analysis and design software.
**Familiar with civil engineering codes – NBC, ACI and AIS; Familiar with 10CFR810 Compliance (Unlawful to produce nuclear material - foreign atomic energy outside the USA).
Required job specification qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of four years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with review of civil design documents, including drawings, calculations, specifications, submittals, etc.
• Strong individual initiative and ability to work independently on most technical issues.

• Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Job Summary:
Provides leadership on assigned projects for Project Engineering and Design within the Electric Transmission Engineering Organization by utilizing a broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices acquired through progressive experience. Acts as a primary interface with multiple Consulting-Engineering firms for Inside Plant projects that are outsourced and assures that *** standards are maintained by these firms. Coordinate and oversee complex projects and provide liaison functions with Licensing and Permitting Group, System Planners, System Protection Engineers, Asset Experts, Vendors, Projects Managers, construction and operating personnel consultants and contractors. Review complex Civil Design drawings for conformance to *** standards and applicable federal, state, and local ordinances. Provide technical support during permitting and construction of projects; resolve complex technical problems and provide solutions. Evaluate and review drawings and documents used for construction and bid purposes. Must maintain and apply working knowledge of Client Standards for Business Controls and meet management’s expectations for effective internal business controls.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Update and manage workforce planning tools.
• Reviews and checks Civil design documents including drawings, calculations, specifications, submissions, etc. On outsourced and in-house engineering projects for conformance to *** standards and applicable design criteria.
• Must demonstrate leadership in their role and have the ability to stand-in for the Group’s supervisor when required.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with internal and external groups.
• Clearly demonstrated individual and team leadership on critical projects and initiatives.
• Act as a primary interface with multiple Consulting -Engineering firms for project work that is outsourced and assure that Codes, Industry practices and *** standards are maintained by these firms.
• Candidate's must have the initiative and ability to work independently on most issues with limited supervision, as well as demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues and projects.
• Proven ability to effectively interact with internal and external groups and clearly display individual and team, leadership and critical projects and initiatives.
• Provide civil engineering support on projects from inception to completion.
