Job Description:
. Prepare new or updated Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans.
* Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess employee/employer compliance with safety regulations.
* Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of safety.
* Develops and implements a system to report, monitor, and correct safety problems.
* Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, compliance, and business efficiency.
. Investigate incidents to discover root cause and work with each department lead when necessary.
* Collaborates with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) representatives and internal safety staff during formal
plant audits and inspections; documents corrective actions taken.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Associate or four-year college degree; or two to three years minimum related experience and/or training.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
* Ability to conduct training.
* Knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
