Description

Duties:

  1. Design, develop and implement software solutions.
  2. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices.
  3. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules.
  4. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues.
  5. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
  6. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows.
  7. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
  8. Translate business requirements to equivalent technical specifics and develop software application modules.
  9. Develop software modules and microservices deployed on Cloud by examining system flows, data usage and work processes.
  10. Implement distributed architecture-based system, especially involving large data volumes and real-time event processing.
  11. Understand the architecture across all application platforms and integrate them with performant Database systems.
  12. Satisfy both business and functional requirements for scalable systems with high-volume transaction processing.
  13. Utilize automated testing frameworks to develop testing programs and test-automation suites.
  14. Provide ongoing technical support to the end users of the existing application platform.
  15. Monitor performance and availability of the application systems.
  16. Identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Qualifications

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Programmer Analyst, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Programmer Analyst, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires 5 years of experience in the following:

  1. Developing QlikView and QlikSense dashboards and reports for big data analysis and visualization.
  2. Integrating business intelligence applications with Oracle and SQL Server relational databases.
  3. Authoring PL/SQL (stored procedures, functions, and views) to execute query operations on relational databases.
  4. Using ETL tools to extract, transform, and load data from APIs, files, and databases.
  5. Designing and maintaining Data Models using Star and Snowflake Schemas.
  6. Working on the ingestion and distribution of data in JSON, XML, and CSV formats.
  7. Creating and storing data in QVD files for efficient dashboard data retrieval.
  8. Integrating with Microservices-based environments.
  9. Developing software following an Agile SDLC methodology.
  10. Integrating with entitlement stores such as Active Directory to manage role-based user permissions.
  11. Authoring and publishing technical product documentation on Confluence or similar collaboration tools.

Requires 2 years of experience in the following:

  1. Using Qlik NPrinting to extract Qlik data and deliver reports in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel formats.
  2. Using JavaScript and ReactJS to develop feature-rich web application user interfaces.
  3. Using REST APIs to populate and retrieve information from authoritative data sources.
  4. Developing Mashups that embed Qlik objects in web application pages.
  5. Using Python to extract data from REST APIs.
  6. Using TypeScript to efficiently incorporate JavaScript in software solutions.
  7. Adopting Telemetry capabilities for BI users and systems to enable governance and monitoring.
  8. Developing and deploying software in a public or private Cloud environment.
  9. Using Jira or a similar tool to manage work in an Agile product backlog.
  10. Designing and implementing metric data visualizations for Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Full-Time. Salary: $177,400 - $260,000 per year.
