Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer, Senior Principal
Job Profile Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems and infrastructure that support our organization's business objectives. You will also collaborate with cross–functional teams to ensure that our systems and infrastructure are secure, scalable, and performant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain complex systems and infrastructure that support business objectives.
- Develop and maintain system architecture and design documentation.
- Collaborate with cross–functional teams to ensure that our systems and infrastructure meet security, scalability, and performance requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, including performance and availability problems.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Develop and implement system monitoring and alerting strategies.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
- Stay up–to–date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering.
- Any cyber related certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+CE, CySA+, etc.).
- Strong understanding of system architecture and design principles.
- Strong experience in Network engineering (TCP/IP, LAN and WAN).
- Experience with VMWare infrastructure, vCenter and ESXi configuration and maintenance.
- Experience with Vulnerability management such as scanning, vulnerability reviews, and mitigation.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with Elastic to include Logstash and Kibana concepts.
- Strong experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem–solving and analytical skills.
