Software Engineer

Candidate MUST possess a TS/SCI clearance with Intel Polygraph.

The Contractor shall participate in all Lean Agile scrums, sprints, and grooming sessions. The Contractor shall consult and coordinate appropriately for problem resolution, task scheduling, new resource requirements, and task clarification. The Contractor shall work in partnership with an integrated team of staff and contractors. The Contractor shall understand the cloud environments, such as AWS or Azure. The Contractor shall coordinate and collaborate with security, operations, engineering, testing, and other teams to provide system information and technical support. The Contractor shall design, develop, and modify software systems. The Contractor shall document and track vendor software roadmaps for software and patch version updates. The Contractor shall unit test their software and perform code reviews. The Contractor shall modify and integrate commercial software into the cloud environment.

Required Skills And Demonstrated Experience

1. Demonstrated experience working in Lean Agile Development environment.
2. Demonstrated experience developing detailed design and associated deliverables.
3. Demonstrated experience translating customer and system requirements into design.
4. Demonstrated experience designing system interfaces.
5. Demonstrated experience developing Single Page Applications using HTML5, CSS3, and Angular 2+.
6. Demonstrated hands-on experience developing RESTful web services using Java 8+ or other technologies such as Spring Framework 4+, or Spring Security 4+.
7. Demonstrated hands-on experience with and troubleshooting of Internet and Web related protocols and technologies such as Tomcat, Nodejs, Web Services, or SSL.
8. Demonstrated hands-on experience developing JUnit and Jasmine tests.
9. Demonstrated experience with testing platforms such as Jest or Karma.
10. Demonstrated hands-on experience working with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Nexus.
11. Demonstrated hands-on experience working with enterprise search technologies such as Lucidworks Fusion 4.2.6 and higher.

Highly Desired Skills And Demonstrated Experience

1. Demonstrated experience developing accessibility standards.
2. Demonstrated recent experience with the Sponsors Lean Agile methodology and ErDoS for reporting sprint MVI burn-up and top line charts, as well as MVI features and user stories.
3. Demonstrated experience with FLSS, and NES and Lucidworks Fusion 4.2.6 and higher.

Additional Information

• The developer just needs to be familiar with these DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Nexus since there’s a specific team who will be doing more of the SME level activities.
• Fusion v5 is the top priority for the STAR 1524 team right now, so having the experience with that would be immensely helpful but not an actual requirement. Failing that, Kubernetes experience would be helpful since Fusion v5 uses Kubernetes. MUST be a US Citizen with a U.S. Government clearance - Intel with Polygraph.
