Software Engineer

Assignment Length: 12 Months

Responsibilities

1. Applies software engineering principles to the design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of solutions in support of applications, databases, test automation tools, and Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
2. Demonstrates technical skill in at least one programming general-purpose language (Java, C#, Python, etc.) and domain-specific language (HTML, SQL, proprietary vendor language, etc.), as needed.
3. Performs peer reviews using software engineering principles, patterns, and development guidelines.
4. Partners with customers in the development of innovative solutions that achieve business goals.
5. Reviews and analyzes business and technical requirements, and implements technical solutions to meet those requirements.
6. Provides on-call support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident management, and service request management for supported products and environments.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant experience.
2. Bachelor's degree specializing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
3. Intermediate understanding of the subject.
4. Performs most work independently with general supervision and direction.
5. May consult with management or more senior staff in decision-making.
6. Required Coding Languages for this position are Java and AWS.
