Location: Glenview area
Job Type and Duration: Direct Hire
Pay rate: (commensurate with experience)
Our client is seeking a successful Professional Engineer to join us in providing our clients with personal, inclusive and timely service in an effort to foster long-standing business relationships. A motivated licensed Professional Engineer will be responsible for designing and coordination of various projects from initial client contact thru construction. The candidate will be responsible for projects that range from feasibility and drainage studies, land development construction documents, obtaining necessary permits, construction observation and construction layout.
Duties will include preparing client contracts, scheduling survey crews, preparing construction documents, opinion of construction costs, village submittals and review, permit applications including the Illinois EPA, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, FEMA, and the Army Corp of Engineers, field observation and coordination of construction.
Knowledge of AutoCad and MicroStation helpful.

Expected qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Licensed IL Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred
- Land development design, grading design, sanitary sewer and watermain design, roadway design, stormwater management analysis and design, best management practices, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
- Working knowledge of Microstation, Geopak/Open Roads, familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, TR20, EPASWMM a benefit
- Preparing stormwater management reports, storm sewer calculations, compensatory storage calculations, detention basin and restrictor sizing
- Preparing permit applications and submittal documents for local agencies, stormwater management permits, IEPA NPDES, IEPA sanitary & water, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, FEMA, and the Army Corp of Engineers
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, business and technical writing
- Self motivated with strong work ethic to manage multiple projects and meet client goals
- Project coordinator for client contact, scheduling tasks and interaction with reviewing agencies and other stakeholders. Ability to multi-task and take on multiple projects at a time
- Proficiency in critical thinking and problem solving
- Candidate must be organized, self-motivated, dependable, personable, and able to multi-task and work effectively as a team player
- Salary commensurate with experience
