Responsibilities

1. Incident and problem management
2. Maintaining service availability – troubleshooting and investigation through playbook
3. Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex issues with web applications, backend services, and IaaS deployments across Azure, Google, and other Cloud Service Providers
4. Assist in the translation of technical issues and complex problems into non-technical summaries for management
5. Responsibilities revolve around enabling D&I customers, other business lines, and internal users
6. Provide operational support to engineering teams who require DNS setup, SSL Certificates, GCP Projects, Azure Subscriptions, and other fundamental artifacts for new products entering production

Requirements

1. 6+ years of hands-on experience with Google and Azure cloud technologies to support built-in Cloud solutions
2. Advanced understanding of Azure DevOps (CI/CD), virtualization and container technologies
3. Programming skill set in PowerShell, Python, Bash, and Node.js
4. Proficiency in Cloud service models e.g., IaaS, SaaS, PaaS
5. Skills in Cloud infrastructure deployment, firewall and load balancing, networking, switching, backup and disaster recovery, high availability, enterprise and cloud storage management and technologies, databases and infrastructure capacity planning
6. Software packaging and automated deployment experience
7. Understanding of E&P workflows, and associated technologies
8. Infrastructure as Code technologies – i.e., Terraform
9. Source control and DevOps tooling
10. Infrastructure Fundamentals – i.e., cloud networking, security, storage technologies (NAS & Object), IaaS compute, IP, DNS
11. Database technologies, both relational and document – MSSQL Server, MySQL, Cloud DB products
12. Scripting & Automation – i.e., PowerShell/Python
13. Cloud certifications preferred
14. Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX
