Job Description
Mechanical Drafter responsible for creating engineering details, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and related documents, in compliance with industry and departmental standards working closely with Project Engineers and Designers in relation to the design of sub-assemblies and detailed parts, with attention given to overall packaging design.
Responsibilities:
Mechanical Drafter responsible for creating engineering details, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and related documents, in compliance with industry and departmental standards working closely with Project Engineers and Designers in relation to the design of sub-assemblies and detailed parts, with attention given to overall packaging design.
Responsibilities:
- Create mechanical detail and assembly drawings utilizing 3D CAD Software to industry and NOV Tuboscope department standards.
- Implementation of ASME Y14.5 GD&T techniques to ensure proper form, fit and function.
- Develop classifications of components within TeamCenter.
- Participate in the document control process within TeamCenter to control the release of mechanical drawings and documentation, including the generation of initial drawing releases, engineering change orders, and change incorporation.
- Requires completion of Associates Degree in Drafting Technology or (2) years of vocational training or equivalent.
- Minimum (5) years mechanical drafting background in areas of structures, materials, processes, fastening and joining.
- Experience utilizing TeamCenter product lifecycle management (PLM) system.
- Knowledge and experience with Siemens NX PLM CAD software, or equivalent 3D solid modeling software.
- Experience in configuration management, change control, and part number identification.
- Able to work independently, completing assignments accurately and on-time.
