Position: Senior Software Engineer in New York, NY

Job Duties:

1. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
2. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
3. Write codes to add features, increase test coverage, and increase maintainability, proving that the code changes work using unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
4. Create pull requests, review colleagues' code, and identify areas of risk related to infrastructure/customer size.
5. Write software design documents.
6. Create documents in Quip to be commented on by other engineers, provide context, goals, technical design, and tasks.
7. Participate in and conduct team-wide sync meetings and more focused huddles.
8. Participate in incident management for any data platform ownership areas and add to team documentation runbooks on how to solve production issues as new issues arise during rotations.
9. Write peer performance reviews.

Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce office is required.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.

A related technical degree is required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements:

1. Two years of experience in Object Oriented Programming.
2. Distributed systems design.
3. Information retrieval.
4. PHP / Python language runtime.
5. Unit testing.
6. REST API design.
7. Version control.

Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.

Salary: $179,982.00 - $265,200.00 per annum.

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $179,982 to $265,200.
