Job Requirements / Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • 2 years of experience in Android application development.
  • Experience programming in Java.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with mobile application development or Android framework development.
  • Experience with mobile application development optimization for bluetooth or mobile networks (e.g., battery life, data consumption).
  • Experience with building full-stack Android applications.
  • Experience creating Android libraries with extensible APIs.
  • Experience with Kotlin and Java.
  • Knowledge of Android Framework internals.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and build new cross-device experiences in Kotlin from the ground up.
  • Collaborate with program manager to define features.
  • Design and build APIs to be used by the Wear platform.
  • Collaborate with watch-focused teams to determine APIs for watch to phone communication.
  • Collaborate with teams across Google to implement new functionality.
