Sr. Automation Engineer / System Administrator

OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer / System Administrator to be part of a team of system administrators and software developers delivering software-as-a-service solutions. This position will be responsible for automating security controls, desktop support tasks, and software deployments. The position provides the opportunity to deepen cloud and scripting experience and work in a heterogenous environment of cloud and on-premises services. This position is full-time on-site and may require local travel to other facilities in the greater DC metro area.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Develop scripts to automate deployments to AWS
• Develop scripts to configure Windows, Mac, and Linux endpoints
• Design and implement automation for security controls, logging, and alerting
• Configure switches, routers, and firewalls
• Respond to service requests and change requests
• Respond to service health and security alerts
• Audit systems for compliance with security controls
• Support preparedness for disaster recovery and incident response
• Perform basic maintenance of physical computing equipment
• Ensure all systems are patched
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING
• Hands-on professional scripting experience in bash, python, PowerShell, or similar language
• Experience writing infrastructure as code
• Experience configuring infrastructure in AWS or other similar cloud infrastructure provider
• Experience implementing security controls for endpoints, servers and/or networks
• Experience troubleshooting issues with networks, servers, and/or endpoints
• Excellent written communication skills
• Must be able to lift and carry 45 pounds
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Must possess a valid US driver's license
