Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Back Office Analyst – Gas to support our prestigious client in the energy sector. As a Back Office Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing the daily trading operations for a large-scale energy company. Your expertise in trade reconciliation, margin calls, and invoicing will be vital to ensuring that all transactions are properly managed and within authorized limits.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile daily trades with exchanges, including executions on NYMEX and ICE, and clear swaps, OTC forwards, swaps, and options.
- Control and initiate margin calls with clearing brokers.
- Monitor and process invoices related to brokerage fees and paper derivatives billed to affiliates.
- Participate in the Exchange for Physical (EFP) posting process.
- Monitor and verify all daily paper activities, ensuring compliance with authorized limits.
- Provide statistical reports, trade analysis, and necessary support to the Trading Desks and Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Math, Finance, Energy, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly advanced features.
- Programming skills in VBA or Python.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Adaptable, diplomatic, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
