Introduction:
10Beauty is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will play a crucial role in the development of an autonomous robotic technology and its introduction into the world.
What you'll do:
- Develop (design, build, test) complex mechanisms and supporting structures in SolidWorks for a highly precise five degrees of freedom gantry and related mechanisms
- Design and release custom parts/assemblies for mass production, primarily but not limited to plastic injection molded and machined parts, including drawings
- Work cross-functionally with the electrical, embedded software, computer vision and machine learning, supply chain, product, and quality assurance teams to develop complete, production ready solutions to complex multi-disciplinary problems
- Travel to Malaysia to support our contract manufacturer in developing the production line for prototype builds and launch
What you have:
Strong motivation and initiative to work autonomously and figure stuff out
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with minimal supervision
- Independent self-starter who drives alignment on requirements and subsequently executes comprehensive solutions
- 5+ years of experience in designing products for mass production in SolidWorks (or other CAD package)
- Experience with plastic injection molding, DFM, DFA
- Experience in one (or more) of:
- Mechanism design, robotics, stepper motors, belt-pulley systems, UI/ID parts, seals, airflow
