The Role:
This position will work closely with our business partners to create custom, cloud-based solutions as part of the leading edge Educe Software Practice. You will be responsible for delivering quality, end-to-end solutions, including testing, technical documentation, and full lifecycle support.

The Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, including:

  • Analyzing, designing and documenting technical solutions that meet business needs
  • Writing testable, maintainable and scalable code
  • Communicating and updating stakeholders throughout the development life cycle
  • Supporting QA testing and user acceptance testing
  • Participating in other activities that contribute to organizational objectives

Technical Expertise:
In addition to the criteria listed in the Basic Qualification, ideal applicants meet the following requirements:

  • Web technologies: Responsive Design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON
  • Web services: REST and SOAP implemented using NodeJS and Express
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) products including Lambda, Simple Queue Services (SQS), and API Gateway
  • Relational and non-relational databases MySQL/AWS Aurora
  • Modern DevOps tools and techniques including GitHub, CI/CD, and Docker
  • Enterprise application software installation and maintenance
  • Front End: Vue.JS, React, AngularJS, Nuxt
  • Experience with information security best practices
  • Demonstrable ability to resolve complex system or technical issues, often thinking on your feet, and offering multiple creative solutions or options

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with full systems development lifecycle concepts
  • Ability to work directly with both customers and Educe consultants to translate user needs into requirements documents and coordinate testing, implementation, and training for these requests
  • Capable of independently researching, analyzing, evaluating, and documenting issues, products, and solutions
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide resolutions
  • Ability to express oneself clearly in both verbal and written communication to technical and non-technical peers and stakeholders
  • Passionate about customer service, producing high-quality deliverables, and follow-through
  • Attention to detail, determined, and solution-oriented
  • Ability to work autonomously, but also within an Agile team environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related technical/IT field from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years full stack software development experience specific to the required technologies outlined above.
  • Ability to travel to semi-annual firm meetings.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
This job is 100% REMOTE or can be based in our Bethesda, MD headquarters or New York City office.

The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
