CMM Programmer (1st shift)

Job Description
Title : CMM Programmer
Location : Elk Grove Village, IL
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Pay : $28-$33/hr.
Sterling Engineering is looking for CMM Programmer for a leading manufacturer of complex precision machined components in Elk Grove Village, IL. This is a great opportunity to work with a company that allows you to to grow within the company!
Job Duties :

• Operate CMM safely, analyzing product and meeting production expectations.
• Measure and inspect parts using various methods for accurate results and efficiency.
• Program CMM for new parts and processes to ensure quality product.
• Train others on CMM operation and save CMM programs.
• Support production personnel, work in teams, and report maintenance issues.
• Continuously improve processes, job performance, and QMS effectiveness.
• Assist programmers and set up personnel with technical issues.
• Document work on inspection plans, FAI documents, router, CMM programs, and ERP system.
• Report concerns or issues related to production, safety, and quality.
• Use calibrated measuring equipment and handle inspection equipment and parts carefully.

Qualifications :

• 2 years experience operating, programming, and maintaining a CMM.
• 3 years experience using, calibrating, and setting manual inspection devices.
• Understands and can interpret customer drawings, parts lists, ECOs, including GD&T.
