Overview

ENERCON's Power Delivery group is seeking a Substation Engineer - Mid-Level in the Orlando, FL, Dallas, TX, Kennesaw, GA or Nashville (Madison), TNlocation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate and contribute toward complex projects in both a design and project capacity while working on challenging and exciting low to high voltage substation engineering projects. Responsibilities
    Develop electric substation drawings, including single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams and physical drawings, such as plan views, elevation views, control panel layouts, control building layouts
  • May perform substation design calculations and analysis such as ground grid analysis and design, lightning protection, voltage drop, DC battery, and AC station service sizing, CT saturation, protection, and coordination. Work closely with the electrical analysis group to determine protective relaying settings
  • Develop technical equipment and construction specifications and work scopes
  • Work closely with peers to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of electrical design that will meet client and industry standards and specifications while ensuring good engineering practices
  • Provide on-site technical support for select ENERCON clients during construction and commissioning as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering and design specific to the substation field
  • Experience with Microstation and AutoCad
  • Proficient with typical office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Windows
  • Must be self-driven to organize time to follow schedules, meet deadlines, and provide accurate deliverables
  • Must be willing to learn new skills on the job with assistance from the Senior Engineer, Supervisor, and others in the department
