Job Description
Your Contribution:
The System Engineering team at Teledyne Controls is looking for a dynamic individual with experience working in cross-functional teams through the hardware and software product development cycle from inception to entry into service. You will work on system architecture product requirements, trade studies, analysis, integration, V&V, and support activities. You will engage in new R&D projects as well as support our existing product lines in wireless data transfer, data acquisition, and networked systems onboard commercial aircraft.
A successful candidate will be hands-on technical with a project engineering perspective. In addition, the ability to clearly communicate across all disciplines - including engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing and senior management - is an absolute must.
Your job:
  • Learn all aspects of a complex systems to perform technical tasks throughout the system's lifecycle. This may include working with hardware in the lab, developing scripts and/or APIs, or developing automated test routines/procedures.
  • Perform Technical Lead duties for small and medium sized product developments including leading engineering trade studies and design reviews.
  • Develop Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) architecture models.
  • Design and verify system modules based on system operational requirements.
  • Perform integration and troubleshooting of prototype HW and SW.
  • Troubleshoot root cause analysis of OEM/customer issues in the field.
  • Create and execute system test procedures to verify hardware and software functionality.
  • Prepare and support design and implementation of automated test scripts and procedures.
  • Support and author technical and process related documents.
  • Support transition of hardware and software products from development to production, and support entry into service and OEM/customer field issues.
  • Support the Program Office in generating product development schedule and cost.
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a related field.
  • Strong skills in automated test scripting using Python is required.
  • Strong computer skills, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. is preferred.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi or Cellular technologies is preferred.
  • Experience working under ISO 9001 guidelines is preferred.
  • Previous experience in avionics is preferred.

Salary Range:
$100,00 - $135,000.00
Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or legal permanent resident.
Salary Range:
$89,100.00-$120,230.000
