Operating Engineer - Roundhouse - Full Time

The Operating Engineer performs operational and functional checks of Steam Trains, Disneyland Railroad track, and Mark Twain Riverboat, troubleshoot systems/equipment, perform installation, maintenance, and repair of systems/equipment, and conduct quality checks of completed work. Position provides direct support to Firers, Steam Engineers, and Operations teams
Skills/training/experience: journeyman operating engineer or maintenance machinist, Boiler Technician Class A or C, steam train or steam engine experience preferred

Be able to use special tools and equipment
Familiar with pumps, compressors, boilers, steam engines, and associated equipment. Familiar with alignment of pumps and shafts
Be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Be familiar with or have the ability to learn the Computerized Maintenance Management System
Communication Skills and Abilities
Strong verbal skills required (able to converse with team members, management, and contractors)
Ability to use handheld radios, mobile devices, and other communications equipment

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Availability to work Sunday through Saturday, any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including holidays, and must be open to any days off. Availability to work overtime as needed.
