The Systems Engineer will join a team of 15+ Engineers and Administrators of UltraViolet's supporting a federal agency that is modernizing and implementing emerging technologies. The environment is fast-paced and becoming the blueprint for this Federal Department, so a background in delivering solutions for the government is highly preferred though not required. The Systems Engineer will have a core focus on cloud infrastructure deployments and be involved with project management duties as it relates to getting these new technologies implemented.
Work You'll Do:

• Project Management and Deployment:
• Lead technical implementations, including systems configuration and software deployment (e.g., CrushFTP, ORNL/CFATS projects).
• Manage tasks in sprint cycles aligned with Agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
• Work closely with internal teams to develop solutions tailored to meet clients' needs.
• Cloud and Infrastructure Support:
• Configure and manage infrastructure tools, including AWS (EC2, ELB, CloudWatch, VPC)
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide recommendations to optimize performance and reliability.
• Client Engagement and Technical Solutions:
• Act as a technical point of contact, assisting clients with system configurations, troubleshooting, and technical queries.
• Provide guidance and insights on cloud monitoring and infrastructure best practices.
• Deliver technical presentations and walkthroughs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Have:

• Experience with Cloud Platforms; AWS, GCP, Azure
• Linux Systems Administration
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint planning to manage workloads effectively.
• Experience deploying and configuring tools such as Kubernetes
• Communication skills: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

$110,000 - $130,000 a year
UltraViolet Cyber maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect our company's differing products, services, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors.
