As a Senior Visual Designer, collaborate closely with our design team creating visuals, compose layouts, develop presentations, and build mockups for digital and physical experiences and communications. Work with senior leaders to communicate their strategies and share their stories both internally and externally. Keep your finger on the pulse of visual design trends and bring a fresh perspective to visual design as an expression of the Cisco brand.

What you’ll do

1. Solve creative challenges and synthesize content from Cisco IT experiences and translate these experiences into compelling stories
2. Lead high-visibility creative projects to ensure alignment with leaders’ strategic vision
3. Create stunning layouts with the application of our design language
4. Provide fresh perspectives on our visual design approach and expression
5. Mentor other designers
6. Advocate accessibility and inclusive design principles
7. Stay informed of visual and technology trends

Who you’ll work with

A cross-functional team of visual designers, multimedia artists, content designers, product designers, communications specialists, and technology leaders.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, interaction design or equivalent design-related field
2. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a visual design role, preferably with a large tech company.
3. Have an available online portfolio demonstrating confident visual design skills and storytelling
4. Proven experience leading high-visibility creative projects aligned with strategic vision.
5. Strong executive presence and gravitas, able to communicate strategies and stories effectively to senior leaders.
6. Proven experience working directly with senior leadership, specifically VPs or higher.

Preferred Requirements

1. Adept at compelling storytelling through visuals, data, video, and presentations
2. Experience in a technology or software company.
3. A strong collaborator and leader who can rally others around big ideas
4. Gravitas, confidence, and strong executive presence
5. An independent, fast worker; somebody who doesn’t let ambiguity slow them down
6. Strong written and verbal skills
