JOB SUMMARY
Make a tactical impact as you assume ownership of NPD costs and lead times, as well as a strategic impact as you help develop processes around additive manufacturing. Play an important role as we develop a relatively new NPD team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own all manufacturing deliverables related to new product development (NPD) for one or more product lines.
  • Develop and communicate timelines for deliverables to key stakeholders.
  • Represent manufacturing in cross-functional NPD teams from early-stage development to product launch.
  • Takes NPD ownership of cost, quality and lead time for all internally manufactured parts, components and systems.
  • Carry Lean principles into the design process to ensure new products integrate seamlessly into SPX FLOW's global manufacturing network.
  • Ensure timely manufacturing of NPD prototype and test equipment by coordinating efforts through production and tool room assets.
  • Create and maintain the manufacturing bill of materials for NPD projects.
  • Own operational readiness for new product launches.
  • Serve as champion for new product development in the global manufacturing organization.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Strong manufacturing engineering and production background in industrial and/or sanitary products.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean principles and process improvement techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T.
  • High proficiency in SAP related to creation and maintenance of materials and BoMs.
  • Skills in 3D modeling software.
  • Solid organizational skills, including following up on your own needed actions and those of assigned team members.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork leadership abilities, as well as persistence when dealing with problems.
  • A curious mindset and willingness to constantly challenge the status quo.
  • Flexibility and adaptability as the organization evolves.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Industrial engineering; a master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing role for industrial or sanitary products.
  • Some experience with additive manufacturing design and/or engineering.
  • Certification in Six Sigma/Lean methodology is a plus.
  • Experience with manufacturing design is desirable.

Working conditions are normal for an office and/or client site workshop or warehousing facility. The noise level in the work environment is moderately quiet, however local and client sites can be unpredictable and associated safety equipment should be worn accordingly.
