Position Overview
The Compliance Engineer provides energy storage system product compliance support and deliverables for sales proposals and projects by working with key stakeholders; customers, colleagues, consultants and authorities having jurisdiction.
Primary Responsibilities

• Provide support for sales proposals through reviews and analysis of codes and standards requirements.
• Provide compliance support for projects and provide reviews and input for compliance deliverables.
• Review products and projects versus applicable codes and standards and perform gap analyses.
• Develop relationships and coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) in order to understand local requirements and to facilitate project deployments.
• Collaborate with colleagues globally on compliance topics.
• Represent LGES Vertech in customer/key stakeholder meetings.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Expertise in energy storage systems is desired.
• Detailed familiarity with existing codes and standards and certification processes, especially for energy storage systems .
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to effectively communicate through multiple channels, including conference calls, e-mails, video conferences, and in-person meetings.

Education and Experience

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical field is required.
• >2 years direct experience with compliance for an energy storage system , battery system , or renewable energy product s and systems .
