BigFoot Staffing are looking for a CNC Machinist to operate and maintain CNC machinery to produce custom wood doors according to precise specifications for our client. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in CNC programming, and knowledgeable in woodworking applications. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of our door manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC machines to cut, shape, and fabricate wood doors based on detailed designs
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine specifications
- Set up, adjust, and maintain CNC machinery, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
- Troubleshoot issues with CNC equipment and make necessary adjustments
- Perform regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure operational efficiency
- Collaborate with design and production teams to meet project requirements and deadlines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a wood manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical documents
- Familiarity with woodworking tools and techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make machine adjustments
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing environment
Compensation:
- $22 - $24 per hour, depending on experience
