As a Senior Civil Engineer at Stantec, you will work on impactful and innovative water projects in the US West and beyond. You will manage and deliver water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure projects from inception to completion, including proposal writing, design, construction administration, and quality control.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute work involving civil and utility engineering principles for water, recycled water, wastewater, and civil/site projects.
- Develop and prepare technical memorandums/reports, planning studies, specifications, detailed design drawings, and other technical deliverables.
- Lead project teams in planning and designing major engineering projects.
- Direct the work of project teams and communicate effectively with other disciplines.
- Provide consultation in specialized areas and solve problems.
- Prepare and make presentations to clients.
- Assist with business development pursuits.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- A well-developed understanding of design concepts relevant to water infrastructure design.
- Experience with planning, design, and construction support of water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Excellent writing skills and experience in preparing technical memorandums/reports and proposals.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working in diverse team environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
B.S. or M.S. degree in related engineering field, 8-15 years of progressively increasing responsibility, and Professional Engineer registration (Oregon/Washington preferred).
