Facilities Mechanical Engineer
Key Role:
Manage projects of varying size from inception and scope development with the end user, creating the scope of work and funding documentation, establish phasing requirements, solicit contractors and execute the scope of work for development of contract or design documents with specifications, coordinate distribution and review of contract documents with stakeholders and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), and work with construction managers to execute the work. Manage all aspects of mechanical design, including production and technical quality of the design, drawings, specifications, surveys, studies, reports, and presentations. Attend and contribute to project meetings during the conceptual stage throughout project execution. Work closely with clients and end users in concert with Officers-in-Charge, Security, and other Project Managers and AHJs throughout project execution. Oversee technical reviews of proposals for USG work, including design projects, coordination of construction documents and specifications, commissioning projects, building utility infrastructure, and large equipment recapitalization projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience as a professional engineer
- Experience with REVIT or AutoCAD
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Excel, Project, and SharePoint
- Experience with building automation and controls systems
- Knowledge of TRANE Trace700, RSMeans Costworks, SpecsIntact, and COMcheck
- Certified Energy Manager Certification
- Project Management Professional Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
Compensation:
The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
