Oracle Senior Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails/Java

Oracle Health Data Intelligence is growing and looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the HealtheIntent - Identity Services team! This development team builds Personnel, Organization and Consumer services which are the base of the security models of the HealtheIntent Platform.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

1. Design, develop, fix, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc.
2. Apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks.
3. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements.
4. Work involves problem solving and understanding company policies and processes.

Experience needed:

1. High level of fluency with Ruby on Rails or Java.
2. Proficient in object-oriented programming and MVC architecture.
3. Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
4. Expertise in writing well-modularized, maintainable software.
5. Experience in DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Maven, etc.
6. Experience building cloud-based platforms.
7. Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts.

Knowledge of:

1. Design patterns and SOLID principles.
2. Software engineering standard methodologies across the development lifecycle.
3. Familiarity with technologies around Big Data Processing and Relational Databases.
4. Familiarity with micro-services architecture.

Required qualifications:

1. U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Federal Security Clearance.
2. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members.
3. BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
