As a full-time, highly skilled Software Developer, you'll possess proficiency in developing software solutions using languages such as Java, Kotlin, TypeScript/JavaScript, and C#. You'll be responsible for collaborating with uniformed service members to create software solutions that meet our clients' unique needs. A passion for coding and a deep understanding of software engineering principles are essential.


The role and unit are based in Austin, Texas. Initially, you'll be required to work on-site five days a week to integrate with the unit and team fully. After 30-90 days of integration, you'll have the flexibility to transition to a hybrid schedule, working on-site three days a week. To ensure eligibility for classified software projects, you must undergo a background check and obtain a SECRET Security Clearance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using, but not limited to, Java, Kotlin, TypeScript/JavaScript, and C#.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define project requirements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following organizational best practices and coding standards
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to project requirements.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, work on a product team or solo, including requirements analysis, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues and provide timely resolution.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and techniques.
  • Assist in the documentation of software architecture, design, and implementation.


Qualifications

  • Java, Kotlin, TypeScript/JavaScript, C#
  • U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Major in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required. 


Experience

  • Proven experience as a Software Developer with expertise in, but not limited to, Java, Kotlin, TypeScript/JavaScript, and C#.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and data structures.
  • Proficiency in modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience with frontend and backend development, including web development frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, React, Angular).
  • Familiarity with a range of database technologies, including but not limited to relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis), as well as ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and DevOps practices is a plus.
