Systematix is currently looking for a Network Engineer to help with the implementation of a diverse infrastructure for a global leader in Life Sciences technologies.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client is one of the world’s leading Diagnostics and Life Sciences companies, with offices around the globe. Working as Network and Voice Engineer for the Global Infrastructure Group, you will be responsible for the implementation of a growing number of services for this enterprise. As a key member of the team, you will be involved in deploying, configuring, managing, and monitoring IT on-premises and cloud networking including disaster recovery planning and security compliance. Additionally, you will assist in escalated incidents, problems, request management and project implementation.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Global Network and Voice Infrastructure Migrations
- Global Network Design and Architecture
- Building and automating Global Network Infrastructure
- Global Network Monitoring and Optimization
- Incident Resolution, Patching, and Performance Tuning
- Effective and Secure Infrastructure Management
- Discovering and analyzing regional business requirements
- Generating, deploying and integrating network and voice solutions using standard IT tools and processes
- Providing level 3 and 4 engineering support of deployed environment
- Engineering and performing complex Infrastructure migrations
- Supporting and maintaining Cloud networking infrastructure
- Keeping detailed and accurate technical documentation and able to work without direct oversight
- Providing updates to Regional Business and IT Team on network and voice roadmaps
- Participating with Regional IT Team to support the regional business
ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS
- An applicable degree, program, or industry certification, and 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- 3+ years of experience with a wide array of Cisco Equipment (SD WAN/WLAN/Routing/Switching)
- 3+ years in Configuration and Policy Management experience with Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls
- Experienced in Silver Peak SDWAN, BGP networking
- 3+ years with IP Network Design, Subnetting, and Implementation Experience
- Network Troubleshooting and Operational Support Expertise
- Proficiency in Self-Management, Project Management, and Working With Customers
Working experience with the following technologies:
- Palo Alto Firewall Network
- Cisco Networking (LAN, WAN)
- Z-Scaler Internet and Private Access Knowledge and Support
- IPSec Tunnel Configuration and Management
- Industry Leading Network Management and Monitoring Tools, Voice Over IP Knowledge and Support
- Deploying and Supporting Cloud Based PBX’s (Teams Telephony, RingCentral, 8×8)
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a 3 month contract role, to be performed at our client’s site in the Los Angeles area.
