Data Engineer

Job Description

The Swift Group is looking for a Data Engineer to assist in areas of data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL), data mapping, analytical support, operational support, database support, application development and associated maintenance of data lakes and production systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop new processes to ETL data
2. Assist with identifying, classifying, and verifying incoming dataset types
3. Enhance existing processes used to ETL data
4. Maintain existing and new ETL code baselines
5. Develop and enhance Ingestion and ETL process tools
6. Develop and enhance utilities for the Ingestion and ETL process
7. Develop code and scripts using Java, JavaScript, Bash, Python and Scala

Required Skills

1. 5+ years of data engineering experience
2. Experience extracting, transforming, and loading data from disparate structured data formats into enriched, query-friendly structured data in indexed files
3. Experience performing data quality analysis
4. Experience with Linux operating systems
5. Experience programming languages
6. HS diploma
7. US citizenship with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

2. Demonstrated experience working with data sensitivity and handling restrictions
3. BA/BS Degree
