Process Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Process Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Carlsbad, CA . You will be responsible for leading and executing projects related to process optimization, validations, and updates to standard operating procedures while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Process Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Optimizing manufacturing methods and processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

• Developing, updating, and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

• Leading and executing validation projects to ensure process reliability and compliance.

• Analyzing process data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.

• Supporting equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal performance.

• Applying Lean Manufacturing tools like FMEA and formalized problem-solving for continuous improvement.

• Streamlining processes with a focus on reducing waste, enhancing safety, and minimizing costs.

• Experience with Process Capability Analysis, Minitab, or JMP Statistical Knowledge.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

• 1 or more years of experience as a Process Engineer or similar role.

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing Tools such as Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and formalized problem-solving.

• Experience in a highly regulated environment, such as medical devices.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
