Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer to deliver premium technical support and drive design wins for our target accounts and technologies. The ideal candidate will lead proof of concept, solution design, and demonstrations to secure solution design-ins, while synthesizing customer and competitive insights to improve product definitions and roadmaps.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver premium technical support to assigned customers in a timely manner.
  • Drive design wins in target accounts and technologies.
  • Lead proof of concept, solution design, and demonstrations to secure solution design-ins.
  • Synthesize customer and competitive insights to enhance product definitions and roadmaps.
  • Direct design-in campaigns for assigned customers, ensuring early involvement in their technology roadmaps and timely information flow.
  • Understand and communicate the positioning of ecosystem solutions effectively.
  • Qualify sales opportunities based on customer technical requirements and establish value propositions relative to competitors.
  • Assess the value of products, highlighting strengths versus competitive products and quantifying technical benefits.
  • Serve as the system software architect, ensuring the broader technical team understands the software value proposition for system proposals.
  • Build strong relationships with sales team members, business lines, partners, and customers to support sales objectives.
  • Analyze customer technical objectives using relevant data gathering techniques to enable the sales team to be more predictive, effective, and responsive.
  • Educate Field Sales Engineers on new technologies, product features, and their business value.
  • Develop system-level knowledge of target application spaces.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years development engineering or applications support of microcontroller based embedded systems
  • Field Application Engineering experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Experience with C and C++ and a record of developing embedded firmware
  • Demonstrated knowledge of typical SoC hardware interfaces (Ethernet, MIPI, SDIO, LP DDR3/4, Quad/Octal SPI, USB2.0/3.0, UART, SPI, I2C)
  • Knowledge of ARM Cortex M and A based register programming models
  • Experience using Real-Time OS systems: FreeRTOS and Zephyr preferred
  • Ability to read, understand and review schematics and provide design recommendations highly desirable
  • Willing to travel (up to 25%, mostly Western US area focused)
  • Knowledge in wireless protocols WiFi, ZigBee, BLE, etc. is preferred



Compensation:

$100K - $140K per year + full benefits packages + bonus

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D.
