Position Summary:

CVS Health is looking for a Digital Principal Dev Engineer II who is hands-on, passionate, and driven. Join a high-energy and growing team to make a difference in customers' lives and be at the forefront of digital innovation in the pharmacy and healthcare sectors. The UI developer will work with Product and UX teams to build elegant code and state-of-the-art responsive customer experiences.

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer II with experience in mentoring team members, driving development decisions, and assisting with architecture design. In this role, you will demonstrate executive-level qualities, lead discussions, have an eye for great design, and engage in hands-on coding as required. You will partner with Architects, Product, and Engineering teams to articulate the true total value of each technical solution and its overall business outcome. You will be responsible for:

1. Providing technical vision, driving strategy around solutions, solving complex problems, and executing across Cloud, Angular, React, and Stencil JS frameworks.
2. Acting as an executive technical leader across strategic efforts, leveraging partners and technical leads to inform processes and outcomes.
3. Serving as a technical owner across strategic efforts involving the Cloud, backend solutions, streaming, ML, and more.
4. Partnering with technical leaders within CVS and the open-source community to contribute to product strategy, frameworks, roadmap definition, and requirements-gathering.
5. Providing domain knowledge and engineering insight to guide early designs, accelerate project decision-making, and maintain close oversight of technical execution.
6. Promoting reusability of APIs across various clients while offering configurations.
7. Encouraging and maintaining engineering excellence on the team to build reliable distributed systems.
8. Becoming a trusted decision-maker for important projects with high technical or outcome risk.
9. Developing mindshare by collaborating and discussing ideas.
10. Plotting and executing on the path from prototype to production for features.
11. Bringing passion, energy, and excitement to the team and organization.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Can work from any CVS office locations/ Work from home flexible / Remote anywhere in the US.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: $120,000
Maximum: $265,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

1. 9+ years of experience in systems analysis and application program development.
2. 5+ years of experience with multiple front-end web technologies, frameworks, and architecture: JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular 7.0 & above, Typescript, CSS, HTML, Restful APIs, etc.
3. 5+ years of experience writing custom reusable components, pipes, directives, services & modules using Angular CLI.
4. 3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies, developing in GCP/Azure or similar public cloud environments.
5. 5+ years of experience with Agile and SAFe Agile development practices.
6. 3+ years of experience with version control tools like GIT & SVN.
7. 3+ years of experience with build & deployment tools like gulp, grunt, docker, etc., with experience architecting solutions to complex problems.
8. 2+ years of experience working on CICD Pipeline automation.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Contribution to open source packages, applications, or modules.
2. Desire to create excellent user experiences within the web space.
3. Contributing to the implementation of product features and key technology choices.
4. Promoting proper implementation of Agile processes, techniques, and principles.
5. Experience in the health and wellness domain.
6. Experience working in full-stack development when needed.
7. Ability to influence and inspire teams to align technical direction.
8. Ability to create and execute on roadmaps that consider both progress and innovation as well as the need to scale.
9. Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and achieve broader organizational goals.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience. A Master's Degree is desired.
