Wi-Fi SI Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop Wi-Fi software features for Comcast Wi-Fi gateway products.
2. Work with vendors to integrate Wi-Fi chipset solutions.
3. Collaborate with other teams to design and deliver unique customer features on top of Wi-Fi for Comcast products.
4. Optimize Wi-Fi performance.
5. Provide technical assistance to troubleshoot customer issues.

Basic Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of hands-on experience in delivering Wi-Fi switch products.
2. Experience in Wi-Fi development and debugging for L1/L2.
3. Knowledge of IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi protocols such as WPA, RADIUS, WPS, 802.11n/ac, etc.
4. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP, etc.
5. Expertise in common networking protocols and hands-on experience with VPN.
6. Expertise in C and embedded Linux.
7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
8. Strong problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Prior experience with Wi-Fi solutions vendors or major Wi-Fi chipset vendors.
2. Wi-Fi driver development experience.
3. 7+ years of experience in software development, preferably in C/C++.
4. Experience with Yocto.
5. Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
