Sr. Azure Network Engineer

We are seeking an Azure Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage complex network infrastructures across cloud and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

1. Documenting and optimizing performance, resiliency, scale, and security of Azure networking solutions.
2. Proactively monitoring network environments to identify issues and minimize risk; identifies and works with appropriate team members to resolve connectivity issues.
3. Ensuring network security by enforcing firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies.

Qualifications

1. Required Experience (7+ years):
2. Experience with Microsoft Azure.
3. Experience designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures across cloud and on-prem environments.
4. Experience creating, negotiating, and managing storage and networking resources in Azure.
5. Experience and subject matter expertise in planning, implementing, and managing Azure networking solutions including core network infrastructure, disaster recovery routes, hybrid connectivity, application delivery services, private access to Azure services, and network security.
6. Experience with software defined networking for cloud native and marketplace tools (Palo Alto preferred).
7. Hands-on experience with GitHub or Azure DevOps and associated CI/CD tooling.
8. Experience utilizing Terraform to automate the deployment of Azure resources.
9. Experience with standardization with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) implementations.
10. Hands-on experience with DNS, Network Proxy configuration, load balancing, Application Gateways, Port Address Translation (PAT), and Network Address Translation (NAT).
11. Experience with cloud native security tools and security compliance.
12. Experience performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to expedite incident resolution.
13. Experience guiding and facilitating a combination of both business and engineering stakeholders through a technical decision.
14. Preferred Experience:
15. Azure Data Lake Storage experience.
16. Experience with Palo Alto.
17. Preferred Education and Certification:
18. Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
19. Microsoft AZ-700 certification.
