Job Description

Would you like to work on cutting-edge technical work in a laboratory/test environment and not sit at your desk all the time? This position will provide technical direction for project execution of several major, high visibility, project installations in the Control Drive Mechanism Test Facility, the Large Component Test Facility, and the Hot Quiet Test Facility. This will include working with management to develop timetables, understand and mitigate project risks, and communication progress the duration of the project. A successful candidate will ensure the project results meet acceptable requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost estimates. They will also monitor progress and performance against project plan with the project team; taking action to resolve technical problems and support operational needs to minimize delays.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in construction, engineering or a science related field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; orCurrently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; orQualified SIT and 3 years as EOOW in the Nuclear Operations Program; orCurrently or previously CRE qualified; or6 years as SRE; orSRE qualified and 9 years of experience; orMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in construction, engineering or a science related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Preferred Skills

Experience with management of multiple simultaneous projects with stakeholders internal and external to the organization.
Possess effective communication skills that have been used across a variety of stakeholder organizations.

Pay Range

$103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
