Your Role:
You will spend most of your time designing and architecting solutions, including duties such as coding, managing the team, and collaborating with the product manager to ensure the team delivers high-quality work. This team owns all payments software deliverables and aims to make these processes as quick, reliable, and efficient as possible for our international user base. This role will report directly to the Director of Engineering, Core Product.

- Work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-impact software
- Collaborate with other technical leaders in Alpaca
- Evolve and grow as a Technical Leader with personal mentorship
Who You Are (Must-Haves):
- A strong, experienced software engineer with lead experience
- Experience with Golang
- Experience with Cloud Native Architecture and Kubernetes
- Experience leading a remote team and providing coaching/mentorship
Who You Might Be (Nice-to-Haves):
- Good understanding of the financial markets
- Equities and/or Crypto trading platform experience (Exchange or Brokerage)
- Good understanding of payments systems
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Experience with Postgres or other RDBMS
- Experience with microservices architectures
