Pay Rate: Approx $30-35/hr
Hybrid: Onsite Tue-Th, Remote M/F
Location: TAMPA
Responsible for decorative component and embellishment development of assigned product lines and the timely adherence to calendar deliverables that lead to buy-ready products.
You must have experience with decoration techniques including screen print, woven labels, silicone patches, TPU patches, twill applique, and embroidery.
Key Accountabilities:
· Initiate component/embellishment development with nominated suppliers
· Provide target cost to nominated suppliers and negotiate cost and MOQ where necessary
· Own communication channel between development team and nominated suppliers
· Receive and review submits from nominated suppliers for color and quality prior to reviewing with development team
· Review and comment on component submits and decorated prototypes prior to sending to league for approval
· Set up and maintain PLM entries for all component/embellishment development
· Build and maintain development trackers as needed
· Maintain relevant data for metric reporting/adoption ratio
· Work cross-functionally with sourcing, merchandising and design on any costing or testing challenges
· Work cross-functionally with hub on all new development and any dual development/component resourcing
· Work cross-functionally with procurement/PI team on items that need to be developed and tested for domestic embellishment
· Alert hub when ready to initiate development QC testing & oversee vendor communication until testing passes
· Travel as necessary to finalize the development of product
· Identify opportunities within the process to increase speed, efficiency and quality
· Ensure submits/samples are prepped and in hand for seasonal material presentation meetings
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Textiles, Clothing Technology and/or Manufacturing or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in the fashion industry with a strong knowledge of fabric and component development as well as testing standards and methods.
· Strong background in component development process and some cost negotiation.
· Experience in knitted fabric construction, graphic art/print knowledge, raw materials, wash techniques and production would be a plus.
· Must be able to identify issues and analyze relevant data to determine the correct and appropriate course of action and generate solutions.
· Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
· Proficient in PLM, databases, Adobe illustrator, and MS Office applications.
