Land Development (Site/Civil) Project Engineer

ATCS is growing! We have an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Land Development (Site/Civil) Project Engineer to join our vibrant team! Based in the Hampton Roads area, you’ll have the chance to be a key player in the growth of our Site/Civil group in Newport News, VA.

This individual will design diverse projects including mixed-use, residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial development. The diversity of responsibilities requires a flexible mindset and cooperative team-oriented attitude with progressively increasing design and management capabilities.

You'll spend your time:

  1. Developing innovative technical land development design solutions, project/task management, client contact, and quality control.
  2. Driving quality deliverables on-time and on-budget.
  3. Working collaboratively with a team of go-getters and industry leaders.
  4. Engaging in strong client relationships through frequent communications.
  5. Mentoring and educating early-career Site/Civil staff.

About you:

  1. You hold a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering.
  2. You hold professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia.
  3. You have at least 5-10 years of land development design experience with Virginia clients/projects.
  4. You are a self-starter who is eager to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  5. You are well-versed in civil engineering design including stormwater, utilities, paving, roadway design, and grading.
  6. You are proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D.
  7. You are familiar with state and municipal design and development processes.
  8. You interact effectively with municipal approval authorities.

This role is eligible for an annual bonus, with a target of 2% of the employee's annualized salary.
